Small contribution to Apache Lucene
A couple weeks ago, I was looking at the Apache Lucene site, and noticed the top slides contained the following information quote:
"Lucene is the search core of both Apache Solr™ and Elasticsearch™."
As the community manager for the OpenSearch Project, this felt incomplete from my perspective. 😉
So, I put in a PR to update appropriately (apache/lucene-site/pull/86) and it was merged. Guess I can say I'm now a Lucene contributor.
Today I looked at the site and am happy to let you know - we're now in the slides on the front page for Apache Lucene.
Happy to see us represented on the front page now - OpenSearch has grown tremendously over the years, and it belongs there.
